transresch Antriebssysteme Berlin GmbH, until 1997 a business segment of Elpro AG , separated from Bremen motor manufacturer Lloyd Dynamowerke GmbH (LDW) by a MBO in March 1999, to start an independent medium-sized business undertaking.

The company operates in the field of converters and electric drive systems for industrial applications. Its history and the qualification of its staff find expression in more than five decades of experience in this market.

In Berlin transresch employs highly qualified and specialized engineers for planning, designing, preparation of manufacture, commissioning and world-wide service for drive systems, which may be composed of motors, frequency / power converters, transformers, switchgear required for the drive, controls and programmable logic controllers.

Activities focus on customized solutions to high-demanding drive problems, for example, in rolling mill equipment, motor and gear test stands and centrifuges. The range of supplies and services also includes standard applications, such as the control of pump and fan drives.

Air-cooled and water-cooled power converters and frequency converters in a power range from a few kilowatts up to several megawatts can be supplied.

Over the last years the field of activity has been extended to include medium-voltage variable-speed drive systems.
